Stay Energized During Cancer Treatment with these Super Shakes

Super Shakes for energy.

Calories and protein intake is vital during cancer treatment.  Our Super Shake recipes were designed to help in those times that chewing, swallowing or just eating becomes difficult.  Be sure to use the recipes as a guide and don’t forget you can always add in other ingredients that you may have on hand.   Enjoy!

Vanilla or Strawberry Shake
Ingredients:

  • 2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Add 3 large strawberries for strawberry flavor
  • 1 scoop protein powder (with at least 20 grams protein per scoop)

Nutritional Information:
Yields 2 servings: 690 calories and 22 grams protein per serving

Orange Dreamcicle Shake
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup orange sherbet
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Nutritional Information:
1 scoop protein powder (with at least 20 grams protein per scoop) Yield 2 servings =
560 calories and 18 gram protein per serving

Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake
Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 scoop protein powder

Nutritional Information:
Yield 2 servings = 600 calories and 24 gram protein per serving
