Cheryl explains maintaining parenting and a cancer diagnosis
Cheryl received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Moorhead State University and later attended Graduate school at the University of North Dakota. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Oncology Social Worker.
Cheryl has worked for Sanford Oncology services since 2001. Her interest in working with cancer patients and families grew through personal family experiences. She has obtained specialized training in working with cancer patients and provides outpatient counseling services. Her focus includes the psychosocial impact of cancer on patients and their caregivers and coping strategies to maximize patient/family functioning.
